Hi, great to have you here!

I’m Christian, a freelance animation director and motion designer based in Cologne. Animation and motion design go hand in hand for me. Both tell stories and rely on timing, rhythm and design. I like to follow a project from the first spark of an idea to the finished film.

A strong concept only works if the execution matches it. Technique is always a tool – 2D, 3D, handmade or digital. What matters most is capturing the heartbeat of a project and making it visible.

I studied Media Design at the Rheinische Hochschule Köln and then completed a Diploma in Animation at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg. Even during my studies, I started freelancing, and some of my films have screened at over 200 international festivals, winning multiple awards.

Today, I work with studios, agencies and production companies on various projects in film, commercials and TV, from concept to delivery. I also develop my own animation projects, bringing characters to life that carry something real within them.
