TV - Special (in Development), 28’

One day, Bernard, a lonely and grumpy bus driver stuck in his daily routine, has his life turned upside down by a chaotic little tiger who just won’t leave him alone! To set things right, he decides to take his rickety old bus and bring the tiger home. Together, they embark on a road trip that helps Bernard find new meaning in life and marks the beginning of a very special friendship.

About:
Papa Has a Boat is a warmly told TV Special about Tim, who is doing everything he can to keep his family together. After his parents, Feline and Hans, recently separated, Tim’s dad moves onto an old houseboat in need of repair, which Tim visits on weekends.

While there, Tim manages to get his father to promise that they will finally take the boat out on the water next time. When Tim tells his mom about the plan, she openly doubts it and suspects it is just another one of Hans’s empty promises. Tim soon realizes she may be right. The boat is broken, and Hans is clearly overwhelmed by the repairs. Determined to prove to his mother that his father’s promises still mean
something, Tim decides to take matters into his own hands. Will he manage to get the boat ready in time with the help of his new friend, Earl the seagull?

With its cheerful tone, sunny color palette, and lovable characters, Papa Has a Boat offers a holiday adventure for both children and adults. It tells the story of a family trying to find its way again after a breakup. This 28 minute TV Special balances a sensitive subject with light moments and celebrates a fry loving seagull, a houseboat, and the belief in family.
